Pay attention to your energy

Energy is a very big concept….is the capacity to work and it touches basically every aspect of our lives. By the way, all high performers I have the opportunity to be around, have had a lot of energy, so it must be important to understand how energy works. If you are up to big accomplishments, you need a lot of energy.

Energy: In physics, energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to an object in order to perform work on, or to heat, the object. Energy is a conserved quantity; the law of conservation of energy states that energy can be converted in form, but not created or destroyed.

  • Fuel: in order to use it it has to be available “now”.
    • Rest
    • Nutrition
    • Movement are the ones the fuel our energy levels.
  • Training: maintaining the balance between the two processes
    • Catabolic, when we actually do the training and “tear down”
    • Anabolic, when we rest and rebuild higher forms of capacities
  • Breath: learn how to oscillate the levels of energy we required.
    • Breathing to activate.
    • Breathing to relax.
  • Pro Active:
    • Approach challenges to be on top of things will give you energy
    • Procrastinate and avoid challenges will consume your energy
  • Behaviors: things you do on a regular basis.
    • Do things that contribute to your energy.
    • Eliminate behaviors that rob you from your energy.
  • Cleansing: keeping mental and physical hygiene
    • Clean your mind, and have vision instead of no direction.
    • Clean your body, get a sweat and observe your digestion
