🍃 The Farmer and the Bamboo

A young farmer planted bamboo seeds.

Every day he watered the soil.

After one year, nothing appeared.

After two years, nothing appeared.

After three years, still nothing.

His neighbors laughed.

"You are watering dirt," they said.

But the farmer continued.

Then, during the fifth year, the bamboo broke through the earth and grew over eighty feet in a few weeks.

A child asked him:

"Did the bamboo grow eighty feet in a few weeks?"

The farmer smiled.

"No. It grew for five years."
